What this service covers

All Types of Dismantling by Hello Handy

Dismantling badly is expensive: split panels, stripped cam locks and a bag of unlabelled screws that turn rebuilding into guesswork. We take units apart in the right order, protect joints and surfaces, and label every fitting so reassembly is straightforward.

This service suits moving day, room changes and disposal. Beds, wardrobes, shelving, gym equipment and large modular units are all covered, and we can dismantle and rebuild in the same visit if you are moving within the same property.

  • Moving-day furniture dismantling
  • Bed & wardrobe disassembly
  • Organised, labelled screws & fittings
  • Gym equipment breakdown
  • Large modular unit take-down

Included in every visit — and what is not

  • I had the dismantling and reassembly of my large corner wardrobe. Sulltan and Adam were amazing, they were VERY fast, and were keeping me in the loop along the way. Very impressed with the service, and they also moved an old wardrobe for me too. They even offered to fix another item that I hadn't asked because they were so helpful. Would highly recommend.

Other Hello Handy services

All Types of Dismantling — frequently asked questions

Do you take the furniture away?

No. We dismantle and stack the parts ready to move. Our sister service Hello Vans covers transport and clearance.

Can you dismantle and rebuild on the same day?

Yes, if both rooms are ready. Book enough hours for both halves of the job and tell us the sequence.

Will flat-pack survive being rebuilt?

Often yes, but chipboard and cam locks weaken each time they are moved. We work carefully and tell you honestly if a unit is unlikely to rebuild well.

Do you label the screws?

Yes — fittings are bagged and labelled per item, which is the difference between a smooth rebuild and a lost afternoon.

Can you work around my removal van slot?

Yes. Give us the van time and we will plan the visit so parts are ready before loading starts.

Do you disconnect appliances?

No plumbed or wired appliance disconnection. Free-standing furniture, beds and gym equipment are fine.
