What this service covers

Odd Jobs (Home Services) by Hello Handy

Most homes carry a list of small jobs that never justify their own trade visit: a door that sticks, a loose handle, a cracked bead of sealant, a towel rail waiting in its box. One booked visit clears several of them at once.

Tell us the whole list when you book. We will say what fits into the hours you have chosen, start with whatever matters most to you, and be straight about anything that needs a qualified electrician, plumber or plasterer instead.

  • Secure bathroom accessories
  • Rattling door handles & locks
  • Invisible wall ding & crack repairs
  • Neat silicone sealant replacement
  • Cupboard hinge adjustments
  • Everyday home maintenance fixes

Included in every visit — and what is not

Always included

  • Door handles, locks, hinges and sticking doors
  • Bathroom accessories and towel rails fitted
  • Silicone sealant replaced neatly
  • Small wall dings, holes and cracks filled
  • Cupboard and drawer adjustments

Not part of this service

  • Notifiable electrical or gas work
  • Plumbing behind walls or boiler work
  • Structural work, roofing and full replastering

  • Used this company for assembly of a pair of sliding mirrored IKEA doors on a cupboard. I normally enjoy my DIY and assemble things myself but these are very complex and tricky to put together, especially if you are on your own. The guys arrived on time, were friendly & polite, they assembled the doors and even fixed the cupboard to the wall in good time and end result looks amazing. Thank you Hellohandy!

  • I had the dismantling and reassembly of my large corner wardrobe. Sulltan and Adam were amazing, they were VERY fast, and were keeping me in the loop along the way. Very impressed with the service, and they also moved an old wardrobe for me too. They even offered to fix another item that I hadn't asked because they were so helpful. Would highly recommend.

Odd Jobs (Home Services) — frequently asked questions

How many jobs fit into two hours?

Usually two to four small jobs, depending on access and condition. Send your list and we will tell you what to expect before you book.

Can you do electrical or plumbing work?

We handle simple, non-notifiable tasks only. Anything needing a qualified electrician, gas engineer or plumber is flagged rather than attempted.

Do you supply small materials?

We carry common fixings and consumables. Specific items such as handles, rails or a particular sealant colour are best supplied by you, or agreed as a material cost first.

Is there a minimum charge for one tiny job?

Yes, a two-hour minimum applies. Most customers add other jobs from the list so none of the booked time is wasted.

Can you come back if something needs a second visit?

Yes. If a job needs a part ordering, we will finish everything else and arrange a short follow-up.

Do you tidy up afterwards?

Always. Dust sheets where needed, surfaces wiped down and waste from the work bagged up.
