What this service covers

All Mounting & Hanging by Hello Handy

Mounting goes wrong when the fixing does not match the wall. We check whether you have plasterboard, brick, block or dot-and-dab, choose fixings rated for the weight, then set the height and level with a laser before drilling.

Televisions, heavy mirrors, framed art, gallery walls, floating shelves, curtain poles, blinds, hooks and storage racks are all part of this service. Tell us the item weight and the wall type and we will confirm the right approach before the visit.

  • Large TV wall mounting
  • Heavy mirrors & luxury artwork

    Rebecca Oluwaseun

  • Used this company for assembly of a pair of sliding mirrored IKEA doors on a cupboard. I normally enjoy my DIY and assemble things myself but these are very complex and tricky to put together, especially if you are on your own. The guys arrived on time, were friendly & polite, they assembled the doors and even fixed the cupboard to the wall in good time and end result looks amazing. Thank you Hellohandy!

    Menelaos Tzafetas

  • I had a huge, heavy Ikea, mirrored wardrobe to re-assemble. Adam was very polite, carefully got on with the job (without instruction guide); gave me helpful tips and also repaired some of the parts that had got broken over time.

Other Hello Handy services

All Mounting & Hanging — frequently asked questions

Can you mount a TV on a plasterboard wall?

Yes, where the bracket can be fixed into timber studs or with fixings rated for the load. We check the wall on arrival and tell you straight away if a position is not safe.

Do you hide the cables?

We can route cables behind trunking or through an existing void where possible. Cutting cables into plaster and any new electrical work are not part of this service.

Do I need to supply the bracket?

Yes, please have the bracket, blind or pole ready. If you are unsure which bracket suits your TV, send us the model and we will advise.

Can you hang several pictures as a gallery wall?

Yes. Three frames usually take about an hour once the layout is agreed. Bring a rough arrangement or let us set it out for you.

Is there a minimum charge for one small item?

Every visit has a two-hour minimum, so a single item is charged at the minimum. Most customers add extra jobs from their list to use the time.

What if my wall turns out to be unsuitable?

We will explain the problem, suggest another position, and use the booked time on other jobs from your list rather than risk an unsafe fixing.
